In Deuteronomy 6:4–9 and Deuteronomy 11:13–21, the words of the covenant are linked to the doorposts of the house. Frankincense and myrrh also appear throughout Scripture as treasured resins associated with temple fragrance, royal gifts, and anointing traditions.
